NEW: Join a HOLLway Team
HOLLway is the first of many enhancements to the Annual Convention and Trade Show in
Mobile, Alabama, scheduled for Ma rch 27 - 29, 2019

This year the PSAI will introduce a new feature at the Annual Convention
and Trade Show. In HOLLway sessions, H ands O n L earning L abs will
allow attendees to see, touch, and interact with equipment, l earn
processes, and ask questions of experts. A special ad hoc volunteer team
comprised of operators and suppliers has identified the following areas of
focus for this year's HOLLway:
• Maintaining and rebuilding pumps
• Conducting DOT - compliant pre - trip and post - trip inspections
• Servicing and maintaining luxury trailers
• Refurbishing a standard portable restroom (including equipment
replacement/repair and graffiti removal)
• Building the ideal truck
• Properly cleaning portable sanitation equipment units/hand wash stations
• Leveraging the science of deodorizers
• Winter solutions: mixing brine and other options

Spotlight on organizational capacity, pub lic information, and education and advocacy

Note: This is the second in a series that will explain the five areas of strategic focus in the
Operating and Budget Plan for FY 2018 - 19 -- including goals relat ed to building
organizational capacity, education and advocacy, standards and industry, training and
credentialing, and members' business - success initiatives.
Last week's edition of Association Insight covered goals for how the PSAI plans to
sharpen and e xpand its communications, both with Members and the public at large.
That's part of what this week's article is about with regard to public information and
education, but first, let's go over the organizational capacity as laid out in the Operation
and Bud get Plan. Like Will Ferrell's impersonation of George W. Bush, it's "strategery."
