WEEKLY EDITION June 6, 2018 2018 Industry Survey Reveals Progress, Prosperity, and Growing Concerns By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director Since at least 2014 the PSAI has conducted an annual survey to gauge the temperature of its Members and, ideally, of the industry as a whole. This year, more respondents than ever took the time to complete the lengthy survey which gives the PSAI an important window into the state of the portable sanitation industry, the victories and struggles o f companies, and a report card on how well the Association is meeting the needs of companies like yours. This week we bring you the first of three installments covering the survey results for 2018. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill it out. Introduction The survey was open for several weeks during April and early May 2018. Requests were published in the PSAI newsletter and posted on social media in locations targeting both Members and nonmembers. We also sent a blast email to the PSAI's database of Members and nonmembers requesting completions. In total, 271 respondents began the survey and 144 completed it. Thus we had partial results throughout the data, and the number of responses for a particular question depended on (1) whether a res pondent was still engaged, and (2) whether they chose to answer the question. 2018 - 19 PSAI Scholarship Winners Announced!
