Their presence in the U.S. capital helped the PSA to be knowledge- able of the new rules and regulations that were being adopted by two new and important governmental agencies: the EPA, founded on December 2, 1970, and OSHA on April 28, 1971. 1978-90 Ted Anderson As the industry continued to grow and to evolve, so did our Association. The idea of having an executive director who was a "knowledge expert" in terms of working with both suppliers and operators was formed. Ted Anderson, Vice-President of Operations with Satellite Industries in Minneapolis, was the ideal person for this position. After leaving Satellite, Ted served for 12 years in this position. During this time, additional suppliers joined the PSA as restroom trailers, service trucks, vacuum pump manufacturers, and others joined the industry. ECI President Robert LaGasse, Sr., worked closely with the new PSA Board during these important early days of the Association.
