ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION JUNE 23, 2021 Page 15 Three and Done! S cott Watson, a two-time PSAI scholarship winner, has graduated from the University of California San Diego in just three years! No extra lap for Scott. His proud father, Tony Watson, is a recent addition to the PSAI's Board of Directors. Below is the note that Scott shared with the PSAI's Executive Director. Ms. Kos, I wanted to write to you tonight and extend my sincerest gratitude to you and the PSAI organization as a whole. I'm sure my father, Tony, has shared this news with you, but I thought you'd like to hear it from me as well. I recently graduated from the University of California, San Diego at the top of my class with a degree in political science in only three years. I am now working on the legislative team for Congressman Mike Garcia, a former businessman and legislator who is a member of the influential House Appropriations Committee. On his staff, I am taking part in the policy process that I once described in the essays I wrote in my PSAI scholarship applications. Receiving the PSAI scholarship for two of my three years in college has undoubtedly helped me achieve this success so early in my career. The financial support this important association has provided has helped me focus on schoolwork rather than tuition, and I feel better equipped to extol the benefits of portable sanitation in my current and any future capacities in government. I am forever grateful for the support that the PSAI scholarship program has provided to me. Your generosity and sagaciousness has meant the world to me and my family. I once again just wanted to extend my sincerest gratitude to you, your team, and the organization you represent for the difference you've made in my education; which I'm sure is reflective of so many other students' experiences. The only words apt enough to express my appreciation are: Thank You. Respectfully, Scott Watson Scott Watson at graduation with his proud parents.
