Joke of the Week: A Question of Diapering
A reporter from a leading trade magazine had some questions for
the CEO at a diaper company.
"I see that the names for leading infant diapers are things like
Luvs, Huggies, and Pampers. Yet the adult diapers have names
like Depends," said the reporter. "Can you explain the thinking
behind that branding?"
"Certainly," replied the CEO. "No matter what a baby does in a
diaper, you're still going to luv 'em, hug 'em, and pamper them —
so that's where we get those names."
"I see," said the reporter, looking puzzled. "But how do you
explain the name for the adult product?"
"Easy," responded the CEO. "When an adult does something
in one of our diapers, how you feel about cleaning up that mess
depends on who's in the will." v
