No, it wasn't on the wall at the post office. Every single one of these people has at least three things in common. • They have spent their lives in the portable sanitation industry. • They are awesome at what they do. • They have been recognized as winners of the PSAI's most prestigious awards because someone like you took the time to nominate them. That's why you've seen them all before. Each of these people has been on a podium at a PSAI event and featured in newsletter articles because people who knew how much they give to the portable sanitation industry recognized their contributions and took the time to put it down on paper. Friday, February 7—two days from now—is the deadline for this year's nominations. Don't you know someone who deserves to be recognized? Take the time now to get your submissions in. Below are some words from past nominations to inspire you. Clockwise from top left: • Jake Groen, PolyJohn Canada, is the 2019 Volunteer of the Year. His nominators said, "Jake has always done whatever is asked plus some. He is always the most prepared member of any meeting. He is always participat- ing in events. He's a great ambassador for the PSAI. He's welcoming and inclusive to everyone." • Darrell Phillips, United Site Services, is the 2017 Service Technician of the Year. His nominators said, "Darrell is a regular contributor in safety meetings. He makes valued suggestions regarding planning and executes these for special events." Continued on page 13
