WEEKLY EDITION SEPT 12, 2018 We Want You! Please Consider Running for the PSAI Board! First step in the process The PSAI is looking for a few great people to run for the Board for a three-year term beginning in March 2019. Specifically, we are looking for at least one (1) nonoperator and at least (2) operators to step up to the plate as potential candidates. You do not have to be an expert or come from a big company. If you are someone who is passionate about this industry and eager to improve it, if you follow through on your commitments, and if you desire to help form the future of portable sanitation, then we want you. The PSAI Board election process is meant to allow for transparency, engagement, and an equal shot for anyone willing to serve. The first step in the process is nominations. The nominating guidelines are provided below for your convenience. These guidelines have been created to be consistent with the PSAI's Bylaws, which are located on the PSAI website here. Board Nomination Guidelines • You may nominate yourself or someone else • All nominees must designate whether they are associated with an operating company or a nonoperating company. Definitions and guidelines can be found in the PSAI bylaws. • The nominee's company must have been a paid PSAI Member in good standing for at least one year. • The nominee does not have to be a company owner. Non-owners must have the support of the company's decision- makers in order to represent the company. There is no minimum tenure for nominees who are non-owner employees as long as the company has been a Member in good standing for at least one year. • The company does not have to be of any particular size nor have been in business for any particular period of time. • The Member company can be based anywhere in the world. • Members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible for nomination. • The Nominating Committee will interview all nominees. This is an important part of the process wherein nominees can ask questions and learn more about the commitments involved in Board service. • Nominees who wish to continue the process after the interview must agree to the time and travel requirements for Board service. • No more than three nominees per opening will be recommended on the final ballot.
