People aren't asking for its removal, but fought and won for it to remain. According to the Beacon Star, th e citizens of Rosseau, Ontario, with essentially no public washrooms in the cold months, late last fall lobbied for a portable restroom in t he business area of the village. The township even built decent - looking shell around it, and has paid $150 a month f or it to be emptied weekly. It's reportedly being used a lot .
