W EEKLY EDITION JULY 25, 2018 Joke of the Week A friend of mine went to her high school reunion recently and was delighted t o see that all her classmates were doing well. According to the graduates at the reunion, "back in the day" their families were so poor that they: • Kept getting overdrafts from the food bank. • Couldn't afford to buy notebooks so they had to do homework on a slate - but the kids kept falling off the roof. • Used to crash weddings to collect the rice. • Only got Ordinary K as a breakfast cereal. • Had rainbows over their farm, but they only came came in black and white. • Went to the neighbors with a cup of sugar and asked to borrow a batch of cookies. • Had the cops show up when they paid the rent on time because the police figured they'd stolen the money • Had 6 candles on a cake placed in front of a mirror to celebrate their 12th birthday. • Got an empty GI Joe box for Ch ristmas with a note from Santa explaining what it means to be AWOL. • Stood outside KFC at lunch time and asked to lick other customers' fingers. • Couldn't afford bubble bath so they fed the kids beans for supper. • Got a couple of batteries for their birthday with the label "Toys Not Included." • Had no clothes except a hat so they could look out the window. • Would go to the park where the ducks threw bread at them. • Got some money from a fundraiser held by church mice. • Had to buy school uniforms at the army surplu s store and spent all of first grade dressed like a Japanese infantryman. • Ate soup with a fork so it would last longer. • Buried their grandmother on the installment plan. • Couldn't even pay attention. © Portab le Sanitation Association International (PSAI) • 2626 E 82 n d Street, Suite 175 • Bloomi ngton, MN 55425 www.psai.org • 952 - 854 - 8300 Note: The PSAI is committed to bringing Members industr y news.
