W EEKLY EDITION MAY 9, 2018 More Coverage of Satellite Industries' Acquisition of PolyPortables …continued The PSAI spoke to both companies to learn more about how this decision was made and what to expect from Satellite and PolyPortables going forward Responses to the acquisition. The PSAI reached out to many of our supplier Members and asked them if they wou ld like to respond to the news. We learned that some companies are still trying to absorb the information and, although they felt unready or unwilling to contribute a quote, the words "blindsided" and "shocked" were mentioned. Some felt it wasn't their pla ce to comment, where another Member applied the old adage, "If you have nothing positive to say…"That isn't to say that all responses were negative, though. Spokespeople for competitors Five Peaks and PolyJohn both shared their thoughts. "We've seen consolidation the past few years in many areas of our industry and hopefully this will help us evolve and continue to raise the bar. Healthy competition is important and drives innovation. Satellite and PolyPortables are two great companies wit h a lot of history. We wish them the best as they move forward." - Ryan Harris, Five Peaks (pictured top right) "We are ALWAYS there when you need us – past, present, and for the future to come." - Sam Cooper, PolyJohn (pictured bottom right) The PSAI will continue to cover all sides of the latest industry news as long as it continues to affect our Members. If you have any comments you would like to contribute to our coverage of the acquisition, please contact the PSAI office. We would love to hear from you! P AGE 6
