WEEKLY EDITION May 24, 2017 Question of the Week: Are ADA Portables Required if Indoor Restrooms are Available? By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director Every week the PSAI handles a dozen or more questions from portable restroom operators, government officials, and members of the public regarding some aspect of our industry. When issues come up that would benefit many PROs, we do the research and print the answers so everyone can benefit. This week's question comes from a school administrator: "Our high school baseball field is on campus, but it is a few hundred yards from the building that houses restrooms. We just built our new baseball facilities, but don't have permanent toilets. Is there a certain distance that requires that facility to have a handicap accessible portable toilet?"
