Joke of the Week
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice
cream parlor and pulled himself slowly and
painfully up onto a stool. After catching his
breath he ordered a banana split. The waitress
asked kindly, "Crushed nuts?" "No," he
replied, "arthritis."

Don't Just Play to Win – Pee to Win
A new Bluetooth device residing in Germany's toilets allows you to win prizes depending on how long you
urinate.
Entertaining oneself in the bathroom is not a new concept, however, playing a "game" to improve your aim is
certainly an unusual idea. Peelytics has developed a device that detects when someone is urinating on it and for
how long. If you can claim the longest lasting "stream" on a particular toilet's device, you can link your
smartphone with the Pee lytics app and "claim that micturition as your own. " Depending on if you've peed the
longest, you can "win big" just for using the bathroom.
Depending on the success of these devices – i. e., if they
actually engage restroom users, this concept could open a
new window of opportunity for advertisements inside toilets
themselves. This unique idea could also help portable
restroom operaetors to ensure that their units are emptied in
a timely manner; if a sensor can understand how long it is
being urinated on, the same technology can inform
operators of the level of waste in a toilet's tank. This
technology brings about a whole new toilet bowl of
opportunity to be explored.
