Joke of the Week
A man parked his bicycle near the US Capitol building
and started to walk away.
A police officer stopped him and asked, "Why did you
leave your bicycle here? Don't you know it is a VIP
road and all the senators and represent atives use this
path here?"
The good citizen replied, "Thanks, but it's okay. I
locked my bicycle!"

San Antonio Buys a Toilet for the Price of a House
San Antonio spent an astonishing $191,0 00 installing a
single public toilet in the city's downtown, a recent
public records request reveals.
And as it happens, installing a single public toilet in the
middle of downtown San Antonio isn't cheap.
According to a public records request made by
Watc hdog, simply installing the toilet cost the city an
extra $69,000. Combined with other expenses, such as
a concrete slab ($2,600) and extra fencing ($5,400), the
final cost of the toilet was an amazing $191, 380. On
top of that are maintenance costs of abou t $1,000 a
month.
At the time the San Antonio city council approved the
budget , the gleaming testament to technological
progress was described as costing a mere $97,700, but
it turns out that figure didn't include any installation
costs.
