PSAI Association Insight, October 27, 2021 I 23 Mark Herring Heffernan Insurance Brokers I have been a Commercial Insurance Broker for over 35 years. The last 25 years as a Senior Vice President for one of the largest insurance Brokers in the US, Heffernan Insurance Brokers. I currently provide insurance services to over 200 PROs and have done so for well over 25 years. I truly enjoy helping PROs protect their businesses. That is my business, helping other businesses. I have been a PSAI member for about 30 years. My wife, daughter/son-in-law, and a partner own a large luxury restroom trailer business with 65 VIP trailers and another 20 on order for spring. This industry has been very good to me and it is time to give back again. This will be my third term serving on the PSAI Board. I have served under the last two Executive Directors and I would look forward to working with the new Executive Director group. This is an exciting time of tremendous growth and pivot for our industry. I would like to help all PROs to understand what other PROs have found to be beneficial "pivots". I will offer up my time for whichever committee needs my time and expertise the most. I have a wide range of experience that can be used in many areas. Cally Smoke United Rentals, Inc. My career began in the industry with a startup company in 2006. I grew that company from the ground up over the next decade and obtained ownership in that process. We were acquired by United Rentals in 2018 as a regional company with over 10,000 units and a fleet of restroom trailers. I've been involved in every layer of the business from operations, to finance, HR, management, and sales. In my role at United Rentals I serve as a subject matter expert by coaching and training our sales and operations teams and focus on building out our Sports and Entertainment platform nationwide. The PSAI has served as the foundation for my career and our shared passion for our industry is what drives our growth and enthusiasm. I have served on many boards (including NAWIC Chapter 1, Fort Worth Builders Association, BRIT), am active in several local chambers and civic groups, along with Women United (ERG) and numerous other nonprofits. My goal is to continue to expose diverse talent to our industry, emphasize the value our people and products provide to the community, and drive awareness on how we can all participate in promoting safe, healthy, and proper portable sanitation practices.
