PSAI Association Insight, October 13, 2021 I 5 The Netherlands Marcel Bikker Marcel is an active and involved PSAI and PSE member who founded Sanitrax International in 2013. After years of research and study in the industry, he and his company incorporated the water-saving technology of vacuum flushing which saves up to 90 percent of the water used by conventional gravity flushing toilets. Sanitrax, according to their website, "developed retractable mobile restroom units housing multiple self- contained toilets, urinals, washbasins and showers." This system is patent pending. Marcel is sure to continue to be a part of the history of our industry as well as the PSAI. Italy Armal / Sebach Under the same corporate structure, Armal is the Italian-based manufacturer of portable restrooms while Sebach is a rental operation with a network of over 80 dealers in Italy with over 1,500 rental points. Armal began in 1987 in the Tuscan region of Italy in the city of Certaldo near Florence. The company researches, develops, and manufactures products not only for the portable sanitation industry but also for the construction and environmental industries. In 2005, a production operation was opened in Griffin, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. Armal's mass production of units has included 3,000 units for the country of Chile for their mining sector and units for Ethiopia for their country's building sector. The Armal USA operation is led by CEO Karl McMichael who has served in that position since 2014. Steve Finley is the Regional Sales Manager since 2019. As many of you know, Steve is a longtime PSAI supporter and volunteer, having spent 16 years with PolyPortables beginning in 2000. Armal remains a valued PSAI supplier member. Sebach was founded in 1986 in Tuscany, Italy. Through the years, the company was able to expand in the European marketplace while also concentrating on environmental protection, recycling, and optimization of waste collection and disposal. Among the major special events for which Sebach dealers have provided units were the 2010 Santander Formula 1 "I" is for International (continued from page 4) (continued on page 7) Gran Prix in Monza, Italy, and the 2011 Beatification of Pope John Paul II in Rome. Sebach France was established in 2011 as a result of the acquisition of a rental / service company. Since then, expansion includes India in 2013 and in Morocco in 2016.
