We enjoyed meeting him and learning about his involvement in portable sanitation and his involvement with the PSAI throughout the years. Martin joined our industry in 1988 as the manager of Site-A-Loo, one of the UK's first portable restroom companies. As a result of sales and marketing roles in various parts of the world, he saw that a strong industry association was needed. PSE was a trade association that was founded in 1992 as a division of the Hire Association of Europe. Martin's vision was to form a new and independent association that would exclusively serve the needs of operators in the portable sanitation industry. In 2000, Martin Murdoch formed the PSE that we know today. Through his leader- ship, this association also became an Ordinary Member of the World Toilet Organization. PSE continues to be a valuable asset to both members and the industry at large. Through Martin's efforts, the PSE has working relationships with the PSAI, the BDE, and among other similar organizations throughout the world. In 2010, he joined Sara Plast Pvt Ltd, located in India, and served as the Chief Operating Officer with his primary objective being to success- fully provide the units and service of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. Upon leaving Sara Plast, he returned to the UK and served PSE as Spokesperson. He also continued his consulting work. Today, Martin Murdoch serves as an industry consultant through the name of "Portable Sanitation Consultancy." He is a knowledgeable resource in our industry on a worldwide level.
