The M.Z. "Andy" Gump Award
Given the history and the integrity of the Andy Gump Company,
it should come as no surprise that the highest and most
prestigious award in the PSAI is the Andy Gump Award.
Barry established this honor in 1993 with the following criteria
for potential candidates:
• Conducts business and personal relationships with fairness
and integrity
• Works to improve the image of the industry
• Introduces innovative approaches to addressing portable
sanitation needs
• Creates new products, services, and related technology
• Leads colleagues in the advancement of the portable
sanitation industry
• Exhibits vision in responding to economic challenges facing
the industry

has a small slide-out drawer on the bottom in which "The Con-
tract" is printed. This is yet another statement that the Gump
Family firmly believes in and authored for this award:
The Contract
When two people meet, an agreement made,
The terms of the deal, the plans are laid
Each one gives their seal by the grip of their hand
On their word of honor, they take a stand.
These days there are contracts all written out
So, there is nothing to dispute about
But if a person won't stand on his word understood
A piece of paper won't make it good.
