In recent decades, tanks have evolved and improved as well. In addition to larger liquid capacity and internal tank baffles to control slosh and surge thereby increasing safety, new materials have been added. Steel is no longer the Satellite Industries trucks through the years only option for tank construction; both stainless steel and aluminum are now long-established options. In addition, new constituents such as carbon fiber are on the way. Several experienced professionals volunteered to share their insights into the history of pump trucks in our industry.
