We love how portable toilets can help in times of joy
and times of disaster, but now we can add "helps combat
boredom" as a reason to gush. Take in this all too familiar
parental nightmare with a heartwarming ending and add yet
another reason to smile as you place those treasured units
out in the world. (Side note: Want a variation on this theme?
When the PSAI staff travel to events by driving across the
country, we make counting portables a game with a system
of points for noticing different types of units. Keeps the staff
"kids" occupied for days!)
Steal a route vehicle from a portable sanitation company?
Yikes, that's certainly one way to show interest in the industry.
There may be a shortage of drivers these days, but diverting
a pump truck off its schedule for a joy ride is not the way to
get the job.
The race is on for America's best restroom as Cintas
announced the 10 finalists for 2021—and this year, for the first
time, a portable toilet makes the list! Fancy Flush out of Santa
Rosa has been selected for their luxury trailer that "rivals some
of the most exquisite private bathrooms." You can take a peek
at their posh privy—and vote now through August 20 for your
favorite toilet—by clicking here.
In the latest episode of "Why Didn't I Think of That?"
a toilet in a South Korea school collects the compost from
students' poo—and powers a university building with the
energy. In an added twist, students are not only compensated
for their "contributions," they get paid for it in digital
currency which they can then to purchase items in the
school cafeteria. Students are beginning to realize they have
undervalued their excrement, and it just may be the most
important lesson. Learn more here.
