Early Life and Career Ed Crafton was born February 26, 1921 in Greenwood, Indiana, a city just south of Indianapolis. As a young man, he joined the US Army during World War II and served as an aircraft mechanic for the US Army Air Corps. It was likely that during this time he developed and refined his love of "tinkering" and "inventing" which benefited him so much in the future. Continued on page 2 Fuel Prices: What to Expect Ahead By Karleen Kos, PSAI's Executive Director I t's not your imagination. Fuel prices are climbing. While this does not come as a surprise to market watchers, it is never a welcome change for portable sanitation companies. When gas prices go up or down, it is common to credit or blame politicians. The truth is that political forces really don't have much influence over fuel prices in the short term (think weeks or months). Policy decisions about taxes, pipelines, drilling, subsidies, and regulations can impact fuel prices in the longer term (think years), but there's little evidence that policy changes have affected prices for portable sanitation companies as of Q1 and early Q2 2021.
