ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION DECEMBER 9, 2020 Page 4 Continued on page 9 Positive Operator Reviews on PSAI's Virtual Convention…continued from page 3 Schedule The program times of 10:00 am–4:30 pm Central on Wednesday and Thursday were well received by those in the Pacific Time Zone. The Exhibit Hall time of 4:30 pm–6:30 pm Central were also convenient and those in the Eastern Time Zone saw a 7:30 pm conclusion to their day. As far as Thursday morning, the 8:30 am–10:00 am Exhibit Hall times were "a little early" for the West Coast members (6:30 am their time). Again, the 10:00 am–4:30 pm worked well for all time zones. The Friday 10:00 am–2:00 pm was, again, very convenient for all participants. Content Beau Kerr said it best: "The Conference was well run, and the informational content was outstanding." By having the learning tracks organized into "Operations," "Management," and "Sales/Office," attendees could plan their schedules at work to be able to participate in tracks that were of greatest interest. Beau added that, "[C&L Sanitation's] Tom Stange enjoyed this from an owner's perspective in that team members could go and come as needed to the PSAI Conference throughout the week." In addition, more employees could participate in this event than would normally be the case at in- person events where the time and expense of travel would be involved. Industry veterans Trevor Inman and Jonathan Sandoval were extremely impressed and very complimentary about the learning opportunities at this virtual event. Jonathan said, "The entire event was very beneficial, and the roundtables presented a lot of useful and timely information." Trevor echoed those sentiments, saying, "The content was outstanding, and the creativity of the exhibitors at the conference was very good. The exhibitors did a great job with little or no experience with this technology." Breanna commented that "it was nice to see the vendors' faces" and that she hoped to see even more in the future. As this was the first event of its kind in our industry, even more exhibitors should be participating in the future. The PSAI's supplier members are the backbone of the Association and their participation was well received by all. Volunteers The success of this event would not have been possible without the extraordinary commitment and contribution of our volunteers. All the respondents stated that knowledge and time dedicated by the volunteers made this event a success. Looking at the numbers: • Twenty volunteers led 18 roundtable sessions. Six of the sessions were COVID-related and attendees really appreciated the timeliness of the information. • Seven HOLLways were conducted by 17 volunteers. The ability to conduct a "hands on demonstration" in a virtual environment was a huge success for the PSAI. Jonathan Sandoval
