ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION DECEMBER 9, 2020 Page 17 Virtual Conference Offers Big Prize and Big Fun By Todd Ginter, PSAI's Director of Marketing When Chellene Lane of Lane Environmental/Best Portables closed the door to her office on Wednesday, November 18, she did so to give herself complete focus on what she was about to experience. Little did she know she was going to get way more out of what she was preparing for than she could have imagined. On that day, Lane was entering into the event platform for the PSAI's first-ever Virtual Educational Conference and Trade Show. "My intention going into it was to get the most out of it I could. I had two computers going and I was ready," Lane said. Like many in the PSAI membership, Lane was not sure what she was about to get into on that day. Attending a virtual conference and trade show to most of us was the equivalent of touring the North Pole—a place we have heard of but never been to before, and so we go not knowing what to expect. However, Lane dove right into the platform and decided to take full advantage of being part of as many of the keynote speakers and educational sessions as she could. Lane was also spotted interacting with the exhibitors at the virtual trade show. There was one other area in the event platform that Lane found interesting. It was the PSAI trivia game that gave attendees the opportunity to win amazing prizes. If you think I am using hyperbole in describing the prizes that were given away, then you obviously did not attend the virtual event. Yes, the prizes were amazing and the grand prize—donated by J&J Chemical Company—included: • 12 Echo portable toilets • five cases of TrueX power Pack Gold • one case of J-Disk Gold • one case of J-Screen Gold • one five-gallon jug of J-Spray • a two qt pack of Art Blaster • two J-Light 55s The total value of the J&J grand prize was nearly $8,200! David Roncadori, Sales Director for J&J, said the company wanted to donate a prize that was industry- specific. While electronic items like 4K TVs and exotic trips are nice prizes, Roncadori said J&J wanted to support the PSAI and its members along with celebrating the industry by providing the items that would be given away. The PSAI was so happy and appreciative to J&J for the incredible donation to the event! Chellene Lane Continued on page 18
