ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION DECEMBER 9, 2020 Page 18 Virtual Conference Offers Big Prize and Big Fun…continued from page 17 A donation for the grand prize was not the only presence J&J had at the Virtual Conference. As a platinum event sponsor, J&J was host to one of the special playground areas in the virtual event platform along with the other two platinum sponsors—Satellite Industries and Walex. In this special area, attendees could "hang out" between sessions. All the platinum sponsors were encouraged to use their playground time for fun and interaction. Each sponsor ultimately offered scavenger hunt games or other interactive activities for prizes. Initially J&J didn't know what they should do with their playground time. "I originally wanted to play a duck hunting game," said Roncadori, "but we just couldn't figure out how to make it work." Roncadori explained that with just two days to go before the start of the conference, working with J&J colleagues, they could not come up with a game. Then, while on a drive, Roncadori got an idea. He just happened to be driving to a new media area that J&J has to display their products. From there, grew the idea to play the game "Where's Jaiker?" What is that game? Simple. J&J Latin American Sales Representative Jaiker Cham hid in one of three different colored J&J Echo Portable units on the set. Then three chosen contestants in the Playground guessed in which unit Jaiker was hidden. It is somewhat similar to the old carnival game of choosing which cup the ball is hidden beneath, only with portable restrooms and a living ball from Latin America. The game was expertly hosted by Eric Wilson, East Coast Sales Representative for J&J who not only kept the proceedings lighthearted and fun, but who was also updating all who were watching on the latest products from J&J. If you are understandably chastising yourself for missing any of the conference playgrounds or the educational content from the virtual conference, the good news is that the PSAI is planning its next virtual event in February 2021. Will J&J be back with another "Where's Jaiker" game? You will need to attend to find out! "We really enjoyed the virtual conference and trade show. It was a great chance to meet with others in the industry, and we could see everyone worked hard on putting the event on. I think it was a great success," said Roncadori. The last bit of business at the November virtual trade show were announcements and prize drawings. Our previously mentioned operator attendee, Chellene Lane, had entered all the drawings and watched the live video feed of the winners being drawn with nervous anticipation. "I had such a wonderful time attending the conference and learned so much, from the sales presentation to the roundtable discussions and keynote speakers. I found great value in attending," Lane commented. You would think her week was fulfilling enough by Friday afternoon as the conference was wrapping up. However there was one more thing for Lane to take away from the conference. Jaiker emerges from the blue unit with a different hat! Jaiker pops out of the orange unit! Continued on page 19
