Class Passes Let Members Choose Silver Members and above have been "buying up" benefits since 2013. In addition to the basic items that come with all memberships, the additional benefits brought significant discounts for Members who expected to be needing the items in the packages anyway— things like event tickets and training courses for operators or ad space and trade show booths for suppliers. The downside was that the additional benefits list was pre-determined and could not be tailored to differing needs. With the new "class pass" system, Members can choose whatever benefits they want, in whatever combination makes sense for their firm, off a list of eligible options. So if you want to bring four people to an event, you can use four class passes. Can't make the event but need to have two people certified and two people re-certified? You can use the passes for that instead. It's up to you. Suppliers and brokers will be glad to see even more flexibility. If you believe more ads in the newsletter and less visibility on the website is best for you—or maybe you want to go big at the Convention and really beef up your presence there—class passes allow you to do that by strategically spending your membership investment as you wish. There are almost no limits to the combinations you can create. How Class Passes Work This new membership benefits system is in place as of July 1 and all current Members have been grandfathered into it. By early October the PSAI will have a new online tracking system that will allow us to help you monitor your class pass balance automatically. For now, just check with the PSAI office if you want to know your class pass balance. Unused passes expire and the balance is re-set with your membership anniversary each year. We want to make sure you get the most out of your membership investment. So the PSAI will keep an eye on your account and let you know when you have unused passes heading into the fourth quarter of your membership year. We are in the process of creating these notifications now. The person listed as your company's main contact will get them via email about a month before your first renewal notice is sent.
