MAKING DREAM TRUCKS A REALITY STANDING BY OUR CUSTOMERS DURING THESE TIMES • Jan Bentley—I appreciate the PSAI's involvement in the weekly calls with the CDC and FEMA. I hope we are actively involved and not merely note takers. (Note from the author: From my personal experience, the PSAI is highly involved with not only these two groups but several more as well.) • Tom Stange—The PSAI is doing a good job. My suggestion would be for more operators to be involved on the [virtual roundtable] calls. • Nancy Perez—I would like to see bilingual translation of the certification program. In addition, perhaps online certification training every two weeks which would shorten the overall commitment to six weeks as opposed to [months]. The best situation, in my opinion, would be one day training to minimize disruption to the driver and to their routes. 1 • Kevin Schneider—I appreciate the [virtual roundtable] calls. They are a great example of all that the PSAI does to support its membership! • Keri Madden—The [virtual] roundtables are good, keep them up! • Steve Finley—Keep the [virtual] roundtables going. Information and education are major benefits of PSAI membership. Final Thoughts Thank you to all who participated in this mini- survey. We highly value your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions. To our readers, please analyze and evaluate your answers to these questions. Frequent mention was made of the virtual roundtables. If you have not had the opportunity to participate yet, please register for the next call. There's more information on pages 9 and 10 of this newsletter. Feel free to contact the PSAI at any time. In addition, during these uncertain times, please share any helpful information you find with your fellow Members. v 1 Editorial Note: The PSAI offers one basic course per month, and the entire three-part series on three consecutive mornings multiple times a year. We expect to offer the series again this fall. It is nearly impossible to attend to and retain information in a virtual format for more than three hours per day, so a full day of learning is not feasible. We have also explored offering the training in Spanish. However, current demand does not support the considerable cost associated with properly translating the courses and exam.
