Keri Madden reported that Canada had five stimulus plans and that her company qualified for and received the benefits of a program offering a 10 percent wage/ salary subsidy." For our Canadian Members, Keri has these details available and you are welcome to contact her for more information. What Do You Expect for the Second Half of 2020? Our respondents offered a multitude of possible scenarios for the coming months. To show the range, all of their answers are reflected below. • Bob Earl—Bob hopes the Northeast will open up and some fall events will still happen. • Jan Bentley—Jan expects low interest rates to continue, which will be good for the real estate and construction industries and therefore favorable for portable sanitation. • Tom Stange—Tom reflected that the upcoming November election means business and economic stimulation should still be major focus points through the fall. This should be helpful to the industry. • Nancy Perez—Nancy observed that some experts are predicting a second wave of COVID-19 in future. She is hopeful their fall events will occur. • Kevin Schneider—Kevin states he has no idea of the future but, "we will continue the strategy that we have been on during the first half of the year which has been successful." • Keri Madden—Keri thinks the new standards for portable sanitation will continue. As far as our primary product offering, restroom trailers, I see a possible shift to trailers with outside separate doors. These configurations solve the problem of social distancing as well as allow for either flexibility in the number of male and female stalls available—or merely having all be unisex." • Steve Finley—Steve expects to see improved distribution of products and more confidence from operators as they adjust to the "new normal."
