Golf Clubs…
Bob and Sally were walking through the mall at Christmastime. The
crowds were thick and they kept losing each other as they worked to
select gifts for their family and friends.
After a long afternoon of shopping, Bob found himself getting
irritated when he couldn't find Sally. He called her cell phone.
"Honey, where are you?" he asked.
Sally replied in an excited voice, "Hi, Sweetheart. I got distracted by
something I saw. I really want you to see it too!"
"What's that?" Bob asked.
"Well, do you remember that amazing set of golf clubs you've been
wanting for so long? The set used by the guy who won the US
Open?"
"Yes!" Bob answered, feeling a little embarrassed by his irritation and
getting excited about his possible Christmas gift. "Are you looking at
them now? Do you want me to join you?"
"Of course I do!" replied Sally enthusiastically. "I'm next door to the sporting goods store where they sell the
clubs trying on a beautiful diamond necklace."
