WEEKLY EDITION DECEMBER 11, 2019 PAGE 3 It's Awards Season! Nominations due February 7, 2020 By Diane Riggs, PSAI Communications Manager…continued from page 2 The Service Tech of the Year Award honors top service technicians who actively embody the highest standards of our industry while working in the field. Top service techs exhibit strong human values and contribute to the overall health and safety of the industry. Our 2019 award recognized Alberto Guerrero from JW Craft Portable Restrooms. Bi-lingual and PSAI certified, Alberto is one of two Lead Service Technicians at JW Craft. He trains new hires for route positions and special events and tests products in the field. Management appreciates his honest feedback about what works and what doesn't. He's also great at caring for company equipment. Alberto is one of those rare people who is a stickler for detail and very humble at the same time. According to his nominator, Alberto's paperwork is "nothing less than perfect" and his customers often comment on his impeccable service. We could not be prouder of his example. The award is named for the couple who were tirelessly devoted to the PSAI starting in the 1980s, and volunteered countless hours and phenomenal service. Jake Groen, General Manager of PolyJohn Canada, earned the PSAI's 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award. Head of a supplier company for nearly 30 years, Jake has a unique perspective that he brings to every role in which he serves. He served on the PSAI Board of Directors for more than seven years, served as the senior non-operator on the Board's Executive Committee for four years, and co-chaired the International Advisory Council for five years. In short, Jake says "yes" to almost any need that the PSAI has. As one nominator concluded, "Jake's positive attitude, his dry sense of humor, and his work ethic make [him] an outstanding person to receive this prestigious award." We certainly agree and cannot thank Jake enough for his ongoing service and support. Click here to nominate the next Volunteer of the Year Award winner! Nominations due by February 8, 2020!
