Review the stories of these awardees, and think who might similarly deserve recognition. The Andy Gump Award is named for the legendary M.C. "Andy" Gump of Andy Gump Temporary Site Services in Santa Clarita, California. Gump wasn't just an industry leader; he was a pioneer in portable sanitation whose innovative approach to business changed the sanitation field forever. ' The Andy Gump Award statue (pictured on page 1) depicts a cowboy shaking hands with a banker. "It portrays the way my dad did business," explained his son, Barry Gump. "A hand shake was his word and bond, and he didn't need a contract or piece of paper to seal the deal." The 2019 top award went Ron Inman, Vice President of Northwest Cascade and General Manager of the Honey Bucket Division in Puyallup, Washington. He has spent decades improving and expanding the portable sanitation industry. Since 1982, Honey Bucket has grown from 1,000 portable toilets to about 37,000 today. Ron joined Northwest Cascade in 1975.
