Un it P lace m e n t an d Pr o te c tio n In addition to the usual concerns concerning the placement of units, keep in mind the effects of snow, ice, and wind. • If possible, turn the units so the doors are not as likely to be caught in a cold wind. • Make sure service trucks can reach the unit if it snows. Your customer is responsible for snow removal on his own property. So there is no question of this, be sure it is covered in your contracts. You may want to reach out to your customers in advance of the first snow to remind them and offer tips on keeping their units in optimal condition during colder weather. • Make sure the path of travel to the units will be safe in snowy or icy conditions. • Some jurisdictions require that units be heated. If you live in one of those jurisdictions, be sure you are providing equipment and service that is compliant with the law. Also be sure that you have language in your rental contracts that cover the customer's responsibility for providing power. CONTINUED ON PAGE 12
