What You Don't Know About Baltimore
Can Surprise You
By Todd Ginter , PSAI Marketing Manager
The Local Cuisine
One of the best parts of visiting a city is trying out its local food and unique restaurants and you will find all sorts
of creative food innovations throughout Baltimore. The R. House is a former auto body shop that now operates
as a food hall with 11 local food business options and a very large bar area that serves craft cocktails. If you are
in a romantic or in a more refined mood, try Bygone , a restaurant that sits on th e rooftop of the Four Seasons.
The restaurant takes inspiration from the glamorous '20s and '30s, then blends it with nouvelle cuisine of the
post - Worl d War II era and today's trends to est ablish a French - inspired menu. You may also want to
try Woodberry Kitchen , run by the city's first James Beard Award - winning chef , Spike Gjerde; this mainstay
takes a nearly obsessive approach to local sourcing, with a menu that is fully driven by supporting regional
growers and reflecting Chesapeake Bay culinary tradition.
Of course there is so much more about Baltimore an d we will continue to share it all with you as we get closer
to the 2020 Convention and Trade Show next March, so stay tuned. Until then, you can watch this video that will
likely whet your appetite about Baltimore even more and maybe even inspire you to get your itinerary started
right now. - TG
