What's to learn from Largo's Wastewater Reclamation Facility?
By GR Anderson Jr, PSAI Communications Director
Seems safe to say that one of the key issues of our
time is the growing concern – is it a crisis yet? –
over water. Will we run out? What about our
oceans? What is the condition of water supplies in
the aftermath of Hurricane Florence? What will
water use and re-use look like in the future, or
even as soon as tomorrow?
It's pretty obvious that these questions trickle
down to the portable sanitation industry. In fact, it
comes up often in the conversations I've had with
Members in my short time on the job.
"We're trying to grow awareness and change
perception of the industry," Michael Zeltner of
Five Peaks told me about a month ago. "Sanitation is what we do, but water is the issue, and water ecology."

By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director
A popular discussion at PSAI events is always, "How can I make
more money?" This, of course, is a broad topic. If you think about it,
the question covers several areas, any one of which could fill an
entire book. These include strategies for:
• Finding new business opportunities
• Retaining existing customers
• Effectively managing costs
• Increasing profit margins
• Deciding whether to expand into complementary business lines
While that won't all fit in one newsletter, here are some tips to think about. You may already be doing some of them … but
perhaps you'll find a few ideas worth thinking about as this season winds down and you start planning for next year.
