W EEKLY EDITION JULY 25 2018 Meet the People of the PSAI Staff turnover leads to new faces, new positions Emily Newberg, Director of Membership and Credentialing My journey with the PSAI began in August 2017 as the Membership and Data S ervices Coordinator, and I had the pleasure of meeting many of our Members at last year's Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference in Minneapolis. In June I was promoted to the new position of Director of Membership and Credentialing. Although I still process member applications and renewals and oversee the database, I now have added duties related to the PSAI certification program, specifically processing registrations and maintaining records of certified professionals. This new position is exciting for me, as it blends my love for organization, attention to detail, and customer service into a satisfying profession with greater responsibility (and a better view of our atrium garden). There were times I had to follow the women to even understand what to do, and discovered they sometimes feel safer hu ddled together behind a pile of rocks than using the "facilities," which were at times no more than a cement slab and a wall. Portable units would have been a dream. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly to the PSAI team! Rand Retterath , Director of Market ing I am your new marketing director. I am here to do these things: 1. Grow membership of both supplier and provider companies 2. Retain existing mem bership 3. Grow the database upon which we prospect for membership growth 4. Serve as the point person for exhibitors and directo r of operations at PSAI events Sounds easy, right? Maybe not so much! To accomplish this, I will be calling on potential new Members and expiring or past Members, working closely with staff to ensure brand integrity in the market place, and su pporting the efforts of the director of communications, the executive director, and the Board. One more thing regarding " duties as assigned": P AGE 7 CONTINUED ON PAGE 8
