WEEKLY EDITION June 13, 2018 PSAI Events are Good – And Survey Reveals Opportunities to Evolve and Grow By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director The PSAI's annual industry survey concluded last month. The survey covers three main subject areas: how industry members are faring and what's on their minds about the business environment, how well the PSAI is meeting their needs in general, and how well our events are meeting their needs in particular. Last week we published the first of three articles reporting on the findings of this year's survey. In this second installment reporting on the findings for 2018 we turn to what the industry had to say about th e PSAI's events. As a reminder, the data that follows represents information supplied by 271 industry professionals representing 144 companies. Sixty - nine percent (69%) of responding companies are current PSAI Members and 31% are not. Because respondents sometimes skipped questions or didn't finish the survey, the total fo r each set of questions varies. Honorary Membership Status: Congratulations to Jeff and Terri Wigley! Jeff and Te rri Wigley (formerly of Pit Stop Sanitation Services) have been granted honorary PSAI Membership If you've been around the PSAI for a while, chances are you've had the pleasure of meeting the Wigleys. Jeff and Terri, former owners of Pit Stop Sanitation S ervices in Georgia, have been staples of the Association for many years. Their commitment to improving the portable sanitation industry has not gone unnoticed. In fact, it is the reason that the PSAI Board of Directors has granted Jeff and Terri the status of honorary PSAI Membership! As explained in the PSAI Bylaws , our Association has five separate Membership classes: Operator, Supplier, Broker, Affiliate, and Honorary. This final level of Membership is granted to an "individual whom the Board of Direct ors, in its discretion, has conferred Honorary Membership on the basis of his or her contribution to the industry." It is a classification that "may be bestowed at any time." Jeff and Terri recently sold their company to former Pit Stop employee and curren t PSAI Member Brett Roques, whic h meant the Wigleys, as non - owners, were technically no longer PSAI Members .
