The PSAI's Days are Numbered
But the Number is a Big One. Click here to take the PSAI's Annual Survey.
The following is a message from PSAI Executive Director Karleen Kos:
I recently read an article that said that more than half of associations will be dead
or dying by 2030. This shouldn't come as a surprise considering that, according
to Forbes , 90% of all new businesses fail. Associations are just businesses with a
different business model. If the past is any indication, there are likely to be hundreds of associations starting up over the
next 10 - 20 years, and many of them will likely fail or die after a period of time just like their for - p rofit counterparts.
Asking the Right Questions
when Bidding on Work Site
Contracts: A Penny Saved is a
Penny Earned
By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director
It pays to get it right. Whether you are new to the portable
sanitation business or you're a third - generation owner who
has been bidding work site jobs since high school, you know
that asking the right questions is an essential part of satisfying
your work site customers and avoiding costly issues . Last year
the PSAI's Training Committee took a deep look at what most
companies need to know before they bid. Here's what they
found out.
Communication is the Key
Keeping clear and open lines of
communication with your
customer is going to be your
most powerful tool for pleasing your
customer and making money on
work site contracts. So be sure you
are covering the right territory
before you begin, during the life
of the contract, and after it ends.

PS AI CALLING?
We all get those calls or emails from time to time. Someone claims to

Here are some things you should know about how we use your data:

• Basic information about PSAI event attendees is shared with
exhibitors and other at tendees of that same event.

If you are contacted by someone stating they got your name from
the PSAI – or that we suggested they call you – be suspicious. Unless
they are a fellow Member or recent exhibitor, there's a good chance
they have a loose relationship wi th the truth. Please give us a call to
check it out. When the PSAI office finds out about issues like this, we
typically contact the offender and make it clear they need to stop
what they are doing.
