The Last Toilet You'll Ever Need A new, award - winning toilet recycles i ts water for a 'lifetime' use! The winner of the Swachh Bharat Award in India is a bio - toilet that produces enough energy to charge your cell phone. Created in the civil engineering department of IIT Kharagpur, the bio - toilet is self - sustaining with the a bility to handle a family of five for more than 15 years. The toilet recycles its water supply using microbial fuel cell reactors, which harness the power of the microbes converting the waste therefore creating energy.
