W EEKLY EDITION FEB 14, 2018 PSAI Announces 2018 IRD and NEW Online Resource Library …continued By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director What's new in the 2018 IRD. For 2018 we have: • Updated the industry data and benchmarks found in the Overview section • Updated and retained the most frequently referenced articles • Added new articles on topics such as event planning, transporting units, and issues related to formaldehyde. Last year we redesigned the Member Directory section of the book to make it easier to find exactly what you're PROs are listed both alphabetically and by state or country. Industry s uppliers can be found both by name and by the equipment or services they provide. This year we've retained this approach, and we are pleased to recognize our platinum - level suppliers by placing their logos throughout their listings. Their support for the PSAI is exceptional, and we hope you will tell them how much you appreciate their commitment to our Association. But don't forget : all of the suppliers whose ads appear in the IRD have made this volume possible. Please be sure to mention their ads when you talk with them. If you will be at the WWETT Show next week, stop by the PSAI booth to get a look at the 2018 IRD – and watch you r mailbox for your printed copy arriving in the next few weeks. New Resource Library online. The PSAI has now created so many resources that it isn't practical to publish them all at once — the book would simply be too large. So we created a new section o n the PSAI's website known as the Portable Sanitation Resource Library. Located behind the pay wall under the Member Portal, the Library lists articles and information from A (ANS I standards) to W (waste water). We wanted to make it A to Z, but we just do n't have the right information for an article on Zanzibar, zoology, or zippers and their impact on portable sanitation. While we hope you will continue to find the entire PSAI website, www.psai.org , to be a useful resource for your company, the intent of offering the Resource Library is to give you a one - stop, intuitively organized location to find what you are looking for. Check it out here behind the Member Portal. You will need your username (PSAI Member number) and password. Please contact us via email ( info@psai.org ) or phone (+1 - 952 - 854 - 8300) if you need help with your login credentials. The PSAI, its Board, and its staff look forward to continuing to improve the PSAI. Please keep your ideas and feedback coming. We are committed to working with you to provide better worksites, bette r weekends, and a better world. PAGE 2
