W EEKLY EDITION JAN 24, 2018
Cast Your Vote for the
PSAI Board of Directors
Electronic voting is open until 9:00 am CST on Monday, February 12
Member organization eligibility process and communication. In December
2017, the PSAI contacted all Members to confirm the designated voter for their
organization and to remind them that only PSAI Members who are current on
their Membership dues as of January 1, 2018 are eligible to vote.
Last week, a letter was mailed to all PSAI Members with their Member number
and ballot access code. If you live in the United States, you should have received
this information via letter in the US mail. If you live outside the US, your letter
should have been scanned and emailed to you. The system allows only one vote
per set of credentials. Please watch for this letter in your mailbox, and if you have
questions please call the office at 95 2 - 854 - 8300. We're happy to help.
Electronic voting. Voting opened on Thursday, January 18 for the 2018 election period. There are 6 operator candidates and
4 non - operator candidates running for the open positions. As specified in the PSAI Bylaws, operator Members vote for
operator candidates, while non - operator Members vote for non - operator can didates. (Note: The 'non - operator' category is
the category for suppliers. It replaced the more restrictive category called "Associates" when the PSAI Bylaws were updated i n
2014.)
When you access the ballot to vote, your organization will be asked to ran k the candidates in order of preference. Adding this
ranking element to the voting process should eliminate the possibility of a tie vote and the requirement of a runoff election .
The order of the candidates will be randomized – meaning the order in which you see the candidates on your ballot is not the
same order as the next voter. This is designed to eliminate bias toward those who are first on the list.
Candidate statements and photos. Each candidate prepared a brief statement for PSAI voters, which wer e published in last
week's newsletter. These statements can now be viewed by visiting www.p sai.org/board - nominations/ .
Please take the time to read them before your organization does its ranking. We had a great response to last year's electroni c
election and expect the same for this year. Thank you for taking the time to cast your company's vote!
