India's Unique Urinal Innovation
An Indian woman's product will improve sanitation
where water and permanent fixtures are not
available
A new product out of India is saving 67,900 litters
of water annually per urinal. That's right, Neha
Bagoria of Tapu has invent ed a waterless urinal
solution that will not only save water, but keep
foul odor at bay. Her product, the EcoTrapIn fits below the bowl and allows urine to pass without making
contact with water. She had a hard time gathering research, as not many men were comfortable
discussing the issues with a woman. But once the Department of Science and Technology, Government
of India funded her latest model, the awards started pouring in. She is currently exploring international
markets.

Amthor International is getting a new address – and has struck a new hiring agreement with a local college as
they expand
Amthor International is moving its business and
expanding its operation. 90 jobs will be added and a
new 100,000 square - foot building is going up in the
new Gretna Industrial Park. Amthor also made an
agreement with Danville Community College to hire
graduates of its welding program at an average salary
of $38,000 per year. They are investing $7.1 million
into the move and will receive funds to help put up the
building from the Tobacco Commission.
