W EEKLY EDITION OCT 4, 2017 PAGE 9 Suppliers: Prepare to Make Your Selections The drawing that determines the selection order for booth spaces on the PSAI trade show floor will take place THIS THURSDAY, October 5, 2017 at 10:00 am CST . Each year, in an effort to promote fairness and transparency, the PSAI conducts a live drawing to determine the order in which suppliers can reserve their booths for the PSA I Trade Show. Suppliers can view the drawing online in real time or they can call in and listen to the drawing. See login instructions below. How the process works. First, the PSAI staff puts each supplier's name into a hat that corresponds with their Mem bership level. Then, starting with platinum Members, and going on to gold and silver, they draw companies out of the hat, one by one, until all suppliers at these levels have been placed in order for space selection. Following the drawing, there are select dates during which each level submits their preferences for booth space(s). Preferences will be honored in accordance with the drawing order. View the calendar of events on page 19 for a breakdown of these dates. Once the platinum, gold, and silver Member s have chosen their space, the floor is open for bronze Members to choose. Eventually, nonmembers are offered the option to select space as well. What Members have to say. Joseph Hummel (PolyPortables) explained his experience with the drawing to us, high lighting some key benefits of the process. "It kind of levels the playing field. [By having a say in your Membership level], you're able to control the order. A lot of t rade shows have random drawings, but you're not guaranteed those spaces. This feels more like a fun contest. You might not get the exact spot you want, but it's not just a crapshoot." [To prepare before the drawing], typically I have a few drafts that I sketch out of my booth – deciding how I want it to look and what I know I'll have for equipment. Myself and other management staff will have a few different sizes and layouts picked out, have drafts A, B, and C ready to go. Then we just hang out and watch it." How to log on for the drawing. Suppliers can join the live stream of the dr awing on October 5 through the WebEx meeting LINKED HERE . They can also join via phone and listen to the drawing.
