Financial Forecasts and Your Business By PSAI Executive Director Karleen Kos Tim Berry published an article on the Small Business Administration website last week that got me thinking about the many small companies that mak e up the PSAI. I know of companies that carefully and thoroughly develop business projections for the coming months. I have also heard that many of you don't take the time to do it. If you are one of the ones that doesn't forecast for your business, an i mportant question is: why? Do you reject financial forecasting because you're too busy, because it's going to be wrong, or it's too hard to do? Do you think it takes an MBA or CPA to do right? Regardless of your answer, Tim had some ideas that might be w orth thinking about. I'm adapting his blog post to help you think about the whole process and whether you might have more to gain with some simple and practical forecasting that anyone can do. To be clear, this post isn't about how to forecast. For that, c heck out the resources here . This one is about why to forecast. WELCOME NEW PSAI MEMBERS! In September 2017, the PSAI welcomed the following Member Companies: Clean Site Services – North Highlands, CA PA Porta Potty – Denver, CO SDR Site Services – Spokane Valley, WA VIP Restrooms – Sun Valle y, CA CONTINUED ON PAGE 2 CONTINUED ON PAGE 4
