Tame Your Portable Restroom Etiquette A cycling website created a universal reminder to practice proper porta - potty behavior, with applicable reminders for whether you are in a bicycle race or not As many PROs who service runs and races know, cycling races also pose a need for portable toilets along their route. Bicycling.com put together a handy "Cyclist's Guide to Porta - Potty Etiquette" for such occasions, filled with enlightening illustrations of human - like animals demonstrating fairly accurate tips and tricks for all restroom goers. Perhaps most importantly, the guide makes it clear that properly maintained units are meant to provide a pleasant experience – "but some people seem to turn into uncivilized animals when their restroom lacks indoor plumbing," which creates a less - than - ideal atmosphere for the next user. Which is why all users, cyclists or not, could benefit from reminders like "[avoiding] the blue tattoo" when you're the first to use a freshly serviced unit, putting the lid down, and realizing a portable restroom is no less sanitary than an indoor one. Check out the rest of their ideas for "civilized" porta - potty use.
