W EEKLY EDITION SEPT 6, 2017 Time to Get Your Employees Certified! ...continued The PSAI is pleased to announce that its Basic Service Technician Training Course will be available in an ONLINE FORMAT on October 12, 2017 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm central time. The deadline to register and pay is October 2, 2017. To take advantage of the course, companies will need to: • Register and pay for each attendee. Forms are available on the PSAI website here: psai.org/about - certification/ . • Provide each attendee with an individual computer and high - speed internet access, or set up a room with a large screen on which the course can be streamed to multiple attendees. If neither of these is practical, reserve space at a location where such facil ities are available (e.g., libraries, community colleges, etc.). The PSAI will consult and assist you with these preparations to the extent possible. This course is preparation for the PSAI Certification exam. Companies interested in having team members certified will need to: • Register and pay for each attendee's exam fee • Appoint a non - bias proctor from outside their company to assist with exam administration. For more information on procedures for qualifying proctors and their responsibilities, contact Jan Nelson at jann@psai.org . Common misconception regarding the course The PSAI offers this course both online and in perso n throughout the year. When the course is offered online, the information is relayed in a "virtual classroom" of sorts, and is taught in real time with a live, virtual instructor. For this reason, those interested in the training must register by the deadl ine and plan to take the course during the 10:00 am to 2:00 pm CST timeslot. There is no option for sending a recording of the virtual classroom for the course to be taken at a different time. For those interested in the Basic Service Technician Trainin g Course and certification exam but prefer an in - person learning environment, the next classroom opportunity will be at the Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference in November. Check out the agenda here: psai.org/psai - nuts - bolts/ . While the PSAI does offer select training courses each quarter, the PSAI Basic Service Technician Training is only offered a few times throughout the year – don't miss this opportunity to have your employees certified! Feel free to contact the PSAI office with any questions at +1 - 9 52 - 854 - 8300 or via email at info@psai.org . PAGE 10
