W EEKLY EDITION SEPT 6, 2017 Joke of the Week Diary of Mary and Tom, a portable restroom operator and his wife Wife's entry: After a long and successful week at ABC Portables, we had plans to meet at our favorite restaurant for dinner. I spent all day in the office, and when Tom stopped in to drop off paperwork he barely spoke to me. Later he was acting weird too. I thought he was upset that I was a bit late, but he was silent at the restaurant too and didn't eat m uch. He didn't talk on the way home either, and when I pressed it was clear he wasn't listening to me. While going to bed, he was looking serious. I quietly lay down next to him, but he continued to ignore me. Does our relationship mean nothing to him? Hav e I lost him? After all we've been through together, how can he do this to me? What will the kids and I do now? Husband's entry: The 1000 gallon aluminum tank was leaking this morning. Wondering what to do about it. Had nice dinner with the wife. New s of the Weird: Taiwan's Toilet Themed Restaurant Would you eat in a restaurant filled with restroom - related food, serving dishes, and décor? A restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan named Modern Toilet is known for their meals served in "miniature toilet bowls, u rinals, and bidets." The eatery serves up "sloppy - looking sauces and poo - shaped chocolate," without a care for the opinions of critics. However, two visiting patrons named Elaina Bird and Victoria Mkewan shared that they very much enjoyed the experience. I t was unique and "nothing like [they've] ever seen before," but most importantly, "the food was actually pretty good too, considering it was served up in a toilet bowl." The two women assured that the theme did not put them off at all – "it was the reason [they] went there in the first place. "Someone heard we were going to Taipei and recommended we check it out." Take a look at the interesting photos and decide for yourself if you'd give these plates a try.
