W EEKLY EDITION AUG 30, 2017 Joke of the Week The successful portable restroom operator was being interviewed for an industry magazine. He told the interviewer that he owed his company's early survival to sound money management and having grown up with a very frugal father. "Oh?" inquired the interviewer. "Can you give me an example of his thriftiness?" The operator replied, "At the end of his life, when my dad was very sick he was home one day, resting in his bed. He looked up and said, "Is my wife here?" Mom replied, "Yes, dear, I'm here, next to you." Then Dad asked, "Are my children here?" "Yes, Daddy, we are all here," and we all quickly rushed to his ot her side. "Are my other relatives also here?" Dad wanted to know. And they all gathered around and said, "Yes, Mel, we are all here..." So Dad sat up and said, "Then why in the world is the light on in the kitchen?" Positive Portable Placement A portable unit was featured in a recent commercial for well - known vitamin brand Nature Made without any negative humor directed toward portable restrooms in the process When Nature Made released its new ad for their digestive probiotics gummies, it was worrisome to see the commercial begin with a lone portable unit on a construction site. The PSAI has seen portable sanitation portrayed in all sorts of ways by the mainstream media, and in the most obvious advertising gimmicks the portable toilet is often cast in a negative light. Thankfully we we re able to breathe a sigh of relief as the ad came to a close. The portable toilet in question is meant to be interchangeable with an office building's communal restroom or an in - home en suite. The ad pokes fun at how digestive issues can affect anyone any where, no matter who you are or where you work, which can cause the suffering restroom user to feel "left out." Taking their gummies can, according to the video, get you out of the portable unit and "back in the game." The PSAI was not involved with the ad or the product chosen in any way – yet the appropriate industry placement is certainly appreciated!
