W EEKLY EDITION AUG 23, 2017 What to Expect at Nuts and Bolts 2017: Thursday's Site Visits Nuts and Bolts attendees will have the opportunity to tour two different facilities, including PSAI operator On Site Companies and PSAI supplier Satellite Industries Each year at the Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference, one or two gracious, local PSAI Member companies step u p to the plate and host all conference attendees at their company headquarters. Offering to hold a site visit is no small feat. The host companies often prepare a short tour or presentation, coordinate a gathering space for food and refreshments, and allow spectators to meander through their daily operations. The PSAI is grateful to have Members who are willing to take on this challenge, as site visits are always an event hit. While 2016's Nuts and Bolts programming brought attendees to two PSAI operator yards, the 2017 schedule will offer a chance for attendees to visit a PRO's site and an industry Supplier's headquarters. By touring sites from both sides of our industry, there will be something to learn for everyone that attends. On Thursday, November 2, event attendees will load busses at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center and head off to visit: • On Site Companies in Little Canada, Minnesota • Satellite Industries in Plymouth, Minnesota On Site Companies is headquartered near the Twin Cities, with locations in Rochester (Minnesota), Mankato (Minnesota), St. Louis (Missouri), and Omaha (Nebraska). They rent basic portable units, luxury restroom trailers, and shower trailers for commercial, construction, industrial, agricultural, special events, and disaster relief. They also offer heating and air conditioning rentals for special events and construction. On Site is owned and operated by PSAI Past Presiden t Karen Holm and her fami ly. Touring an operation in the Midwest should offer different insight from to our 2016 visits in Louisiana. There should be plenty to learn from Karen and her team, no matter where you operate your business or how many visits you've joined us for in the p ast. Satellite Industries is a supplier to the portable restroom industry, offering restrooms, trucks, and deodorizers. They are also headquartered near the Twin Cities, with a European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Additionally, they operate from D erbyshire, UK and Duisburg, Germany, along with their locations in Virginia, Kansas, Oregon, and California. They manufacture a range of portable restrooms, both flushing and non - flushing, while also producing portable restroom trailers, hand wash stations , vacuum trucks, and a line of deodorizer products. The company was founded in 1958 by Al Hilde, and is currently led by CEO Todd Hilde, Al's son and the PSAI's Andy Gump Award recipient for 2017. No matter if you are a PRO that simply interacts with suppl iers or if you are a supplier to the industry yourself, join us as we take an inside look at a PSAI Member's operations. There will be plenty to learn and take away from this visit. Transportation to and from these visits and a lunch during the tours are both included in your registration. Busses will leave from the Minneapolis Marriott City Center around 10:30am and they will return to the hotel around 5:30pm after a full day of learn ing and socializing with industry colleagues. We appreciate both On Site Companies and Satellite Industries for opening their doors to us. If you are attending the conference, consider making your travel arrangements so that you are able to attend these vis its come November – you won't want to miss them!
