The PSAI Urgent Run/Walk will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2017 during the Nuts and Bolts
Educational Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Friends of Ngong Road is the parent charity operating
Karibu Loo in Nairobi, Kenya. FoNR assists children
whose families have been affected by AIDS in
completing their schooling, something that is virtually
impossible without help. Karibu Loo is a portable
restroom operation that helps fund FoNR and provides
employment opportunities for program graduates.
Become involved and make a difference in the lives of
these students and in the global sanitation crisis.
The logistics.
Date: Thursday , November 2, 2017. The run/walk will begin at 7:00 am and end at 9:0 0 am. For those attending the 2017
Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference, the event schedule will run as follows:
6:00 am: Carb loading with (complimentary) bagels and coffee at the hote l
6:30 am: Bus leaves hotel for Urgent Run/Walk course
7:00 am: Run/Walk start
9:0 0 am: Run/Walk finish
9:3 0 am: Return to the hotel
Location: On e of the many scenic lakeside trailways along the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes in Minneapolis, Minnesota. T he
exact lake pathway will be posted closer to the event. An alternative, indoor location will be used of necessary due to
inclement weather.
Price: The cost to participate is $20.00 per person. This includes:
• An event t - shirt
• A water bottle
• Various prom otional items from event sponsors
Awards: Upon the run/walk's completion, there will be a short presentation of awards for:
• First and second place male finishers
• First and second place female finishers
• Largest donation amount from a participating team

While par ticipation requires a fee of $ 20 per person, we encourage all teams to consider DONATING to the event. All
proceeds go toward Friends of Ngong Road/Karibu Loo. Donations can be submitted on the Urgent Run registration form.
