Part II I of III: And The Survey Says…
Opinions Vary on Future Conventio ns but Agree on Affinity Programs
The PSAI's annual surveys always have more than one goal. In our May 31 issue of Association Insight we reported on how
respondents feel the PSAI is meeting their needs. Last week we told you about how respondents' compan ies are doing,
and let you know the subjects most on the minds of business leaders in the portable sanitation industry. This week, in the
final article of our series on the survey findings, we will tell you about the
feedback on two specific areas of inqui ry: the future of the PSAI's
Convention and Trade Show and the perceived value of affinity programs
the PSAI could offer.
Convention dates are a hot topic … but there is no consensus about
change. In our post - show wrap up meetings, exhibitors at the 2016
Convention (Charlotte) and the 2017 Convention (Orlando) reported good
experiences on the floor, but many advocated for moving the dates of the
PSAI show back to the fall. Ironically, it was suppliers who pushed for the
move to spring only a few years ago.
