WEEKLY EDITION JUNE 21, 2017 Part II of III: And The Survey Says… Employee Issues, Growth and Waste Disposal Top the List of Portable Sanitation Company Concerns • Issues related to business growth, managing the growth, and making good long-term decisions without knowing how long the current growth trend will continue. Quotes like, "Growth and the economy," "How to stay competitive in a growing industry," "Keeping up with demand," and "Predicting growth" were representative. • Concerns about disposal and regulations relating to it were also common. Answers like "Access to wastewater disposal facilities," "Waste disposal," "Maintaining disposal options," and "Changing government regulations" came up often. • The behavior of competitors is also on the minds of many respondents. They said things like, "National competitors with high use of internet marketing," "Increased competition in a very small market," "Larger competition moving in," "Amateurs setting our industry back," "Pricing and price competition." Other common areas of concern include: • Adopting and keeping up with technology • Changes in what customers/clients want and need • Taxes • Staying up to date with new opportunities PSAI Responds The PSAI conducts this survey every year to ensure that the Board and staff are aware of the things that are "real" every day in Members' businesses.
