May 23 : Preparing for Extremes in Portable Sanitation Desig ned specifically for those who need continuing education credit, this course addresses the need to prepare for extreme conditions wherever you do business. This session will cover how to handle heat and wind effectively. If disaster strikes, this training will also help you plan and protect your company, while ensuring you can respond to the opportunities that may arise. Whether you are an old hand at preparing for extremes or relatively new to this aspect of the business, this 90 - minute training is for you . June 1: PSAI Basic Service Technician Training Course This course, which has evolved over the years, is designed to teach the basic competencies required for success in the role of a portable sanitation professional. It includes training, reference mate rial and a glossary of over 125 industry terms. Sections on industry standards and equipment cover material on portable restrooms (pre - inspection, cleaning, delivery, placement, pickup), hand wash stations, freshwater flush units, recirculating flush units , and restroom trailers. Other topics include disposal, winter service procedures, and spill handling procedures. All attendees will receive documentation of the course completion and the contact hours involved. This course is recommended preparation for t he PSAI Certification Exam. While the course and exam are not requirements of one another, those who would like to have their course attendees certified following this training should contact Jan at the PSAI office to set up a remote testing procedure.
